ITC Level 1 Electrical Thermographer Certification

ITC Level 1 Electrical Thermographer Certification

Congratulations to Josh and Vaughan!

IR Certified - photo 1Josh Knight and Vaughan Richardson earned their Level 1 Electrical Thermographer Certifications from the Infrared Training Center. Josh is also a licensed electrician in ME, NH, and MA and Vaughan has an Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Maine and holds electrician licenses in ME, NH, and MA.

The training included thermographic imagery and analysis of commercial and industrial electrical equipment and systems. Indoor and outdoor equipment from control voltage through medium and high voltage was covered. The techniques and standards also apply to mechanical equipment and systems. This Certification is based on the requirements outlined by ANSI/ASNT CP-105 and CP-189 of the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing.

Infrared (IR) Thermography is the process of acquisition and analysis of thermal photographs and information through non-contact thermal imaging devices or cameras. Richardson Electrical’s Service and Maintenance team is able to evaluate the performance of a system and locate trouble areas before they cause system outages. Scans are performed on operating equipment allowing your process to continue while IR photos are collected and evaluated.

Plan your outages with thermography, don’t let your outages plan themselves. Contact us for more information.
