Scope of project:

We performed the design and installation of a 15,000HP variable frequency drive within an existing medium voltage substation, integrating all support equipment and connections into existing electrical systems for power, control, and communications. Our scope included coordinating the design team of mechanical, structural, civil, and electrical engineers, as well as preparing construction drawings and packages and presentations for city approval and permitting. We coordinated all subcontractors, including heavy lifting, civil, and controls integrators.

Key project detils:

We worked within an existing facility maintaining all building operations during construction and commissioning. Our team worked with the Town Planning and Zoning Boards to obtain all permits, variances, and approvals. Our design team worked with the equipment supplier and customer to integrate larger equipment into a limited and restricted access space, as well as review all equipment submittals on the customer’s behalf coordinating controls, power, and operations requirements.
